So, there are a few major titles coming to the App Store within the next couple of months, namely Dead Space, Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil: Mercenaries, also a bonus mode in more recent console iterations of the Resident Evil games. While Dead Space has been given a February release date (pushed back from a January release date), DMC4 has a January release date and RE: M's release date is currently unknown. For your convenience I have posted links to hands on pre-views of each of the games (footage and screenshots included!) of each of the three games below.

Resident Evil: Mercenaries:http://wireless.ign.com/articles/114/1143378p1.html
Devil May Cry 4: http://wireless.ign.com/articles/114/1143378p1.html
Dead Space: http://wireless.ign.com/articles/114/1141233p1.html

Personally, i'm excited for Dead Space and Resident Evil. Dead Space's graphics are looking pretty sharp, and i'm glad that it's going to play like the console version, rather than being a crappy minigame. Resident Evil's graphics look kinda meh, but as long as it plays well, I won't mind. Devil May Cry is a series that I was always thinking of trying out, but never really did. If this game is supposed to be a condensed version of the first 4 games in one, then I might pick it up and see if it's worth getting the console versions. The game sounds good for people who never played it, but sounds like a kinda crappy deal for fans of the franchise.

Ack, just realized I put the wrong link for Resident Evil and the 2 second post edit limit didn't give me enough time to fix it :/

But, I have it right here! Resident Evil: Mercenaries http://wireless.ign.com/articles/114/1143531p1.html

Triple post FTW!!!

Sorry if a 3rd post bothers you guys, it just seems like there has been a whole ton of new mobile gaming news recently, and, having only my ipod to meet my gaming needs until I get a new 360, I have become a very passionate mobile gamer.

Anywho, I just found out that Gameloft has another game up their sleeves (big surprise there) and, by the looks of it, it seems to be another clone! (But hey if the real devs won't do it...) It kinda looks like a Zelda clone to me, but you all can judge for yourselves, if you have a Facebook account, that is. Dunno where else to find this video, but Gameloft posted a very vague trailer and if you have an FB you can vote once a day for them to fully reveal the game. The bar is nearly full and it's been 3 days. Dunno if it works for those without an account, but here is the link:  http://apps.facebook.com/discover-new-legend/app.php?source&code=2.aYhpun_82GUcz32EBlrzgA__.3600.1295236800-825349348|z2w6-CKdH3vbSRM_OcWG0JBIoZ8 (looooong)

I personally like that Gameloft does "clones" because I love the real games, so taking it on the go makes it even better. If this is a Zelda like game, then i'm definitely keeping my eye on it.

And, another game that someone brought to my attention, called Warm Gun. It's an indie first person shooter that gives off a Borderlands kind of vibe, and it definitely looks very professional and not very indie-like. Rather than make you read a wall of text here, i'll let their website explain their game, which i'm going to be keeping an extremely close eye on. Oh, video and screenshots included (Most likely PC screenshots since it's a PC and an ios game)

I like games like Cut the Rope and puzzle games for phones, lol, never really got into games like these where you have to act like you have analogue sticks.

A lot of people say that analogue stick don't work on a touch screen doesn't work, but iv'e found a lot of games that make it work well. Any excuse for gaming works for me, so with games like these it's hard to resist not getting them.

I was gonna start downloading tons of random free apps when it got really close, but it finished at some crazy early time in the morning and I was too tired to pull an all nighter just to try and win a contest that i had like a .000001% chance of winning.

Well, Dead Space came out last night. I still haven't bought it since I still owe my mom some cash, but I know my friend downloaded it and I might get to try it soon. I checked the user reviews and it's got 99.9% 4 and 5 star reviews. I was already sold, but all these good reviews make me want it more. Not to mention that it got an 8.5 from IGN.  Plus registering it with Dead Space 2 unlocks 2 special exclusive weapons and unlocking achievements in the game nets you free wallpapers for your iDevice! Glad to see this didn't end up being a crappy cash-in game.

Dead Space is $6.99, but I have no idea how long it is (iv'e not played it yet). There hasn't been any info revealed about mercenaries besides the fact that it exists.

Is it a third person game where you can move around freely?

dunno if you've played the console version, but it's exactly like it, third person over the shoulder. i watched my friend play it and it looks very sexy. Obviously it's not Infinity Blade level graphics, but it is still one of the top 5 best looking ios games. There are no menus cluttering the screen, the health bar is on the characters back (just like the console version), the ammo is show on a screen attached to the side of your gun (also like the original), etc. The controls looked good from what I could tell. One side of the screen is held down to move forward, you move your finger around the other side to turn and you swipe the screen to melee. It's a pretty damn impressive game, i'd recommend it to anyone.

I've played it on 360, but I dunno if I would want to on an iPhone, although I'm sure it looks really good.
