Now that the new console has been revealed, what does everyone think? Personally, I have really mixed feelings about it. There are some features that I really like, but there are some that I think are really f*cking stupid, so i'm not sure if I want to pick one up yet. I'll let more info come out and read up on it some more to get a better idea about it.

Also, is this gen the generation of stupid console names? Like, really? Xbox One? I get why they called it that, but to the average person it's like "Wait, are you talking about the original xobx? No, the new one? Dafaq?" I can't decide if it's better or worse than Wii U

Its going to be a repeat of this gen graphic wise. PC>PS4>Xbox One>>>Wii U. Microsoft doesn't care about gamers anymore, so I am going full PS4 next gen. There is a used game fee on Xbox One that i find quite annoying, while it has no direct effect on me, there is a fee if you play a game you own on another account. So if the game has been installed on one account, you have to pay money to play it on a different account.

Gamespot is doing this competition thing with the xbox one and ps4 on twitter, you just tweet what alliance you are for. As of right now, 84% of gamers want the PS4, 16% want the xbox one lol

I also think it's stupid that the xbox literally will not function without kinect hooked up to it? Does that mean that all the new xbox's come packaged with one? They better, because there's no way i'm buying a console that I can't use until I throw down like, another $150 for a Kinect. And no backwards compatibility with the 360? Really? Never been much of a Sony guy, but I think I might be jumping ship this gen. Thinking of getting a used Wii U also, there's no way i'm missing out on a new Smash Bros.

Kinect is included. And both the PS4 and Xbox One are not backwards compatible. But Sony is having plans of using its new gaming stream service to let people eventually stream any playstation game they want. I am going to get a PS4 for sure! Be careful with the Wii U, i made the mistake getting one. At first they are really cool and interesting, but the library is horrible right now.

Sony has won this generation on multiple fronts:

- Didn't name their console something stupid +1
- Didn't impose heavy fees on users +1
- Will have decent 3rd party support as usual +1
- Decent hardware for a console (PC still kills it though) + 1

Its over.

My favorite part about the PS4 game wise, Bungie was at their presentation. My favorite game developers finally escaped away from Microsoft, so I am not forced to buy a Xbox to play their game. If they show a new Uncharted game on PS4 graphics my mind will explode lol

This generation desperately needs games though. So far nothing interests me.

The more i research the Xbox 1 the more I am getting level minded about it. I think E3 will be the deciding factor for me with which system I buy.

Microsoft did damage control. They know are making it so there is no fee, the game can only be installed into one system at a time. So if you want to play it on a friends account, you have to uninstall it or it uninstalls on your account then reinstalls on his and vice versa, basically what a disc can do now but with downloads.

From what I have read is that you can sell digital games back to say gamestop then they will wipe it from your account, then when they sell it ("used") Microsoft will take 90% of the money the retailer gets and give probably 45% or more to the publisher of the game, and then probably 45% or less to Microsoft, and 10% to the retailer. Thus destroying the used game stores basically without screwing over the customer. Honestly, i like my Gamestop, really cool people, however, i would rather have the publishers and developers of the games see the money they deserve, which this lets them get money unlike the current system where 100% of the used sales goes to the retailer. Honestly, well played Microsoft, i just hope they give a lot to the publishers rather than taking most of it.

This is the worst f*cking idea I've ever heard. It LITERALLY destroys an entire market just so devs, who have already made a profit off selling the game new, can nickel and dime us even further. I HIGHLY doubt that companies like Gamestop are going to support the Xbox One now.

Good going microsh*t hope you're proud. You just inherited the title of worst company in the gaming. EA will be so jealous.

ITS HAPPENING.
