Like it's your opinion that Call of Duty is crap and not creative. If it wasn't for Call of Duty multiplayer games would not be as good as they are now. I liked Portal and Portal 2 (although 2 got a little tedious after awhile), and TF2 as well. Just not a Half-Life fan. Oh, and Left 4 Dead was fun, but for some reason I couldn't get into L4D2

How do you know this/prove it? Things would possibly advanced and become better than what they are today.

Before Call of Duty games didn't have all the features Call of Duty had. After Call of Duty all games are getting these features.

And how would you possibly predict the future in an alternate universe of time? Hmmmmm? I've given you a question with only one answer; you can't. Nobody knows how game would have progressed.
Also, saying that cod influenced ALL online multiplayer games is a little bit of a freaking stretch.
You're making it sound like cod redefined video gaming, whereas all it did was build upon the already present system.
And just for you elite, IMO.

Modern warfare moved the majority of the FPS genre from WWII to now. That's about it.

All of the level progression, perks, etc. that is present in many of the games today are obviously influenced by Call of Duty 4. I'm not saying games before it didn't have all of that, it was then that it became so popular.

So the level progression and perks in Fallout 3 were influenced by cod? Gimme a f*cking break. And I suppose the level progression in pokemon was influenced by it too? Hmmmmmm?
Cod did not influence the entire damn market. Saying that is like saying The Sims influenced Oblivion because you can buy a house and live in it, interact with other people, etc.

Contradictory, gumby. How about we just stop using absolutes and constants in conversation?
