Title: Nostalgia
Post by: Dan622 on January 27, 2019, 12:24:36 pm
Idk if any of you guys still stop by on occasion, but figured I'd post anyway because I'm feeling nostalgic haha. I just got my hands on the Agent Ford figurine that was exclusive to the Australian release of Conduit 2, still brand new sealed in the box. I'm super anxious to for it to arrive, I still haven't decided whether to open it and display it or not.

Anyway, hope you guys are all doing alright!

lol this site just popped up on an app that I downloaded on my computer...

I had no idea there was a figurine! Lets see it, man!

I didn't either until I stumbled across the listing and Google told me it was legit haha. I just opened it up, I'll see if I can figure out how to upload some pics!

Alright, check it out!

This thing is quality, it's got some weight to it and the detail is great. I spent entirely too much on it but I'm very glad I decided to pull the trigger.

I look in every once in a while, just to see what might be happening lol. It's bittersweet to see that the bots have left us alone.

I'm doing alright, out of University now and have a fancy pants degree. A rough couple of years, but things are going better now. I have a decent full-time job now, and am working off some student debt. Should be able to pay off everything within a year or two. Got a new phone a few days ago, a HTC OnePlus 6T, to replace my HTC One M9 which had really bad power issues and would regularly die at ~93% battery.

If any of you use Discord, we should set up a server!

Sounds like you're doing alright then lol. I'm a two-time college dropout now, the last two years have been kind of rough and now I'm kind of just drifting around trying to figure out what I want to do next. So until then it's just my boring job, video games and concerts to keep me busy haha.

I have a discord account that I've never really used but I'm down to jump on a server if you guys ever want to hang out and chat!

Ah man, sucks to hear that you dropped out but college is definitely not for everyone. I had many moments (read: years) where I strongly considered taking even just a year off to get my **** together but ultimately decided on plowing through and getting my fancy piece of paper. I got kicked in the nuts a little after graduating when I heard the job I was hoping/expecting to get got cancelled. While not unexpected, it definitely messed up some plans. Maybe one of my biggest regrets about post-secondary education is not going into college first (I think it's called community college in the states?) before going to a University 4 hours away from everyone I knew in the world. I was certainly not mentally prepared for my first year of uni and a lot of bad **** happened as a result.

Video games and concerts are nice though! I vaguely remember from years ago that you were in a band, right? How is/was that going?

If you have any interest in accounting, apparently that's a pretty decent field to get into. It's supposedly boring as **** and dead simple, but I honestly don't even know what an accountant does lmao. Alls I know is I'm getting bombarded with ads and postings for accounting and CPAs right now hah.

If I make a discord server, I'll probably post it in one of the post-count locked boards so that in the off chance some dork finds this post they can't join in and ruin the party lol. It's been a really long time, but I was once a head moderator/co-owner for a modest little Skype server with ~80 people on it during its hayday. Not that I was very good at it haha, it crashed and burned and I eventually left the fandom altogether due to what happened in there. But hey, how hard can it be to setup a not-awful Discord server, right?

Definitely still check in on this site every 6ish months just for the nostalgia factor.

I'm just heading to my last year of Teacher's College for teaching Music. It's definitely a blast and a pretty reliable career, all I have to do is not muck up my last year.

I have some plans to finally build my own computer after the summer. I am the director of a summer camp so I wouldn't have time till September to game, but I finally started doing some research and saving money to make one. I think I'm planning to spend a decent amount on really good parts so it will last for the foreseeable future. I got really into dark souls at one point but just don't have any way to play it.

If I make a discord server, I'll probably post it in one of the post-count locked boards so that in the off chance some dork finds this post they can't join in and ruin the party lol.

I would be down for a discord for sure! Let me know if anyone ever makes one!
